Please re-experience the Celebration of Life of Rev. Charles "Barry" Wood, November 6, 1942 - August 10, 2024. The service was held on September 14, 2024.
Rev. Charles "Barry" Wood was an ordained minister beginning in the Southern New England Conference in 1972. He served primarily in Massachusetts before retiring to live in Kennebunk. He and his wife Connie worshipped at Church on the Cape, attending in person when Barry's health allowed it and virtually when he could no longer come in person. Barry was noted for founding a free health clinic in Worcester, MA and his support of the United Methodist Economic Ministry in Salem, Maine.
Pastor Greg officated, Rev. Arlene Tully, our District Superintendent, shared a message from Bishop Bickerton and shared in leading the service. Christopher Wood, Barry's son, and Rev. Rick Whitefleet-Smith shared in giving a tribute to Barry's life.
